FUCK THESE STUPID BURGER MEN

I started drawing the burger men of WONDERHILL in Summer of 2010 after I graduated with my design degree from a school in Dayton. I wanted to start animating something that I could move easily so simple wide open spaces seemed like the perfect place to go as far as the design would go. Once I had decided on this I went about drawing a few really dumb characters I think I was doing gross stupid Muppet looking characters first, this just wasn't working so I took a step back and actually thought about something that I would like to see. Then the idea came to me, a pair of stoner meat-headed buddies surrounded and trapped in  world that wants to eat them.

Much later, around 7 months later, the characters that I was only drawing when I was stoned or feeling bored began to evolve to my friends Kyle Martin & Jeff Deane (they do the voices for- well Jeff and Kyle the burger men and are in this great Columbus band, Smart Girls) After these two burger heads became actual people in the real world. It was fucking awesome.
